Joachim A. Atunwa has multi-disciplinary, post-graduate experience spanning over 23 years in the areas of Strategic Planning, Marketing and Communications with over fifteen years in top management positions.

His field of experience spans diverse sectors including Telecommunications, Banking & Finance, Foods & Beverages, Oil, Service Delivery, Government & NGO, etc.

He has worked on various notable Pan African or Pan Nigeria projects in both the private and public sectors including, Heineken-Amstel Pan-African initiative, Guinness Africa pitch, John Hopkins University’s Kick-Out- Polio Initiative, UNICEF Roll Back Malaria Project in Nigeria among others. He has contributed immensely to the nurturing of notable brands in Nigeria.He was formerly the Strategic Planning and Research Director at Insight Communications and currently Director in Marketing Communication, Globacom Limited.  Joachim has trained in diverse fields, both locally and overseas. 

He is also a frequent speaker in diverse areas of marketing and communication.  He holds MBA in Marketing and M.Sc. in Industrial Sociology & Criminology).  He is also a Chartered Secretary.

Joachim belongs to many professional bodies - a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (FNIMN); Member, Nigerian Marketing Research Association of Nigeria (MNIMRA), Member, Account Planners Group of Nigeria, a Registered Practitioner in Advertising.
